The Benefits of Support

Bariatric surgery is generally a very positive decision, but coping with the changes to your life overall may be more challenging than you initially expected. Our support groups are designed to help you learn more about the process, work through the physical and emotional changes that follow surgery, and offer you a peer network of those who have been in your shoes.

Additional Education

We want to provide valuable information to the members of our weight loss community. Support groups frequently feature expert speakers and medical professionals who can provide insight into new aspects of healthy weight loss. Lecture topics include eating well, exercising safely, and innovations in weight loss science. We’ll keep you up to date on everything you need to know!

Emotional Support

If you are struggling with a step in your journey, you likely aren’t alone. From relationship problems to finding healthy recipes to prepare for your family, every bariatric surgery patient has been, or will be, where you are today. In group sessions, you are encouraged to speak openly about your concerns, share your feelings, and welcome the advice and support of your fellow members.

Peer Stories

All patients undergo similar surgeries, but not all patients see the same results. Our participants are encouraged to share their stories, the lessons they learned, and the milestones they have achieved. Whether you are just starting out or are years removed from surgery, you will be able to learn and grow from other patients in our programs.

Weight Loss Tips

Weight loss isn’t always immediate after weight loss surgery. Many patients hit a plateau after weeks or months of progress. In an effort to keep patients on a healthy path, we are happy to offer additional tips, tricks, and assistance for continuing healthy weight loss. From patient stories to customized advice from your peers, our support groups will keep you focused on the reaching your goals.
